Filofax Original Nude Flick Through

I am sure that everyone in the plannerverse knows what a unicorn planner is but for those of you who are unsure: I will explain. A unicorn planner is one that you have wanted for ages but that you haven’t been able to get hold of, it may be that it is too expensive or that it is rare and you haven’t been able to find one for sale. My unicorn was the Filofax nude original and this week she finally landed in my hands.. yes yes I do still use a ring planner, even though it feels like I am cheating on my own business haha.

So she arrived yesterday and I couldn’t wait to get her set up, the beige dividers that Filofax supply with their planner do not spark any joy for me so they were the first things that I want to change out but seeing as this will be used for all my Stampin’ Up! information I obviously wanted to use some of our products to make it.. let me tell you, I had so much freaking fun making them that I didn’t go to bed until past 11 (i’m a 9pm kinda girl) and the first thing I don’t when I woke up was proudly show off my new work planner to my husband (who even though he makes the UglyDori’s.. still does not get what we are all so obsessed over).

In all her nude glory 🙂

The inside front cover, decorated with card from Little Rainbow Moon on Etsy and various clips and accessories.

I used the Avant Garden stamp set to make the title page, this set is sadly only available until the end of March.. it is one of my favourites at the minute.

IMG_3652

I left the tabs clear and numbered them and have an index behind my dashboard.

IMG_3651

Up and away Thinlets and the Lift me up stamp set for the first divider, how fun does this look!

IMG_3650

Birthday fiesta papers, thinlets and stamps here, the Llama was coloured with water colour pencils.

IMG_3649

Pop of Pink papers or Pop of Pow 🙂 … this flirty flamingo is too cute not to share! the thick band is actually the washi from the collection and the background is made with the Pop of Paradise stamp set, versamark ink pad and basic black and melon mambo ink.

IMG_3648

Another stamp set (well 2 actually) that are only available while Sale-A-Bration lasts.. these are Delightful Details and Make a Medallion, I used melon mambo, tempting turquoise and delightful daffodil from the brights ink collection (my fav colour combos ever).

IMG_3647

I have only used the Oh So Succulent set once before but it is already becoming a firm favourite of mine and I have lots of plans to use it over this coming week. I used Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise from the brights collection. There are 2 part stamps which means you can come up with a whole host of different effects and combinations.

IMG_3646

And lastly, this little guy, isn’t he cute and fun, the card stock and inks are from the new 2016-2018 In Colours and the little truck is another Sale-A-Bration product.. Tasty Trucks.. I’ll be sad to see this little dude go.

UK Scrap Addicts – Creative Team

At the end of last month I shared a little secret with you guys, that I had been selected to be part of the UK Scrap Addicts Creative Team, being fairly new to scrapbooking (and being on a creative team with so many talented ladies) was both an honour and terrifying at the same time.

Through the course of this month I’ve read the posts and watched the videos go up on the blog from all the other creators and today it is my turn!! Epppp!!!

I have a process video and blog post of a layout that I created, exclusively for the blog and Youtube channel, using this month theme of “Multiple Photos”.

Click HERE to read the blog post!

Please pop on over there and say hi, its a big step for me and I’d really appreciate your support.

Here is a sneak peak:

Planner Girls Collective – Spring Bucket List

I do love our weekly posts when they include some form of creativity so as soon as I read today’s topic of “Spring Bucket List” I knew it was going in my art journal and I had just the stamp set for it! To view the process video click HERE!

Firstly I created the blue background using some toilet paper and my blue ink pad, then I double stamped around the border to give the flowers more texture.

I love how it turned out, it was so simple to do but looks so effective, it could easily be used on letter paper too for those of you Witney pen pals!

Tempting Turquoise

Flirty Flamingo

Old Olive

Peekaboo Peach

The stamp set I used was Avant-Garden which available free, until the end of March, with a purchase of £45

Dont forget to pop over to see what the other girls in the PGC series have on their bucket lists!

April UglyBugPlans Planner Kit

It feels a bit strange that this is going to be the last ever UglyBug Planner Kit. I am super excited to be growing my business and in the direction which it is heading but these kits have been a massive part of my life for the past year, it is going to feel very strange having an empty diary this time next month lol.

I have filmed an unboxing video which is live now, if you’d like to view the kit contents, obviously if you’d like to keep it a surprise then hold off for a few days!

I’ve made this months a bumper kit as a thank you to all my lovely subscribers!!

There are a few more kits left over on my Etsy store but I won’t be renewing them so once they are sold out they are gone forever!

Mothers Day Card with Oh So Succulent

My favourite colour combination in the catalogue is for sure the “brights” I adore Bermuda bay and think it pretty much goes with most other colours.

After casing a project off of Pinterest (I seem to spend more time looking for projects than I do actually making things, you know that feeling, right?) I came across this Pin and fell in love with the simple but effective look.

I made the card A5 size as I wanted it to be bigger but you could half the materials and make them as small thank you cards etc.

You can view the process video HERE

To make this yourself you will need;

Brights Cardstock

Oh so Succulent stamps

Scoreboard

Trimmer

Snail adhesive

Brights Ink pads

VIP Hostess Club

VipVery exciting news here at UglyBug Towers! I have launched a brand new club which is very exclusive and very rewarding.. in fact it is the most reward program I run.. which is why it is called VIP!

What is VIP Hostess Club? It is a group of 6 customers who each agree to spend a minimum of £25 per month on Stampin’ Up! products.. they are products of your choosing from the current catalogues (and any new catalogue that is released in the time frame). It will run for 6 months with each of you taking a turn at being the hostess and receiving the hostess benefits that month! You can still take advantage of any promotion that SU! may be running at the time (sale a bration etc).

Once we have 6 ladies I will enter you all into a secret group on Facebook and will draw, live, all your names and what month you will be the hostess.. in your month you are more than welcome to collect outside orders or place a higher order yourself, to take advantage of the higher hostess rewards you will earn.

At the end of the 6 months everyone will receive a free gift, from myself, and will have first dibs on spaces for the next 6 months!

All orders must be paid for by the 10th of the month, will be ordered on the 10th and sent to you within a week. You can, of course, pay before this date too!

To join, simply fill this form in with “VIP Hostess” in the subject line and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Gratitudes!

IMG_3276I had planned on blogging yesterday, I had a series of unfortunate events happen.. including blocking my debit card in a petrol station when I had just filled my car up.. argh, nightmare!

At about the time I sat down to write my “pity party” post I noticed the BBC’s live newsfeed from Westminster… in an instant my worries became silly insignificances and I sat transfixed to the news.. now this blog is not the correct setting to go into my views about what happened so I’m not going to focus on that but it did make me realise how grateful I am to live a “charmed” life and, even though some months we don’t have much left once we’ve paid the bills, the bills are paid and there is food in the cupboard and clothes on our backs, our children are happy and healthy and I’ll be forever thankful for that!

Now how could I leave you guys out?? I am so thankful to everyone of you, you make my little business what it is and every recommendation, review and link you post helps my little brand to grow and be seen, so from the bottom of my heart, Thank You!!

My heart really does go out to everyone affected by yesterday’s (and any other) terrorist attacks, in the country and abroad.

Hugs xx
