For this layout I used the Petal Gardens DSP which comes in 6″ x 6″ sheets and cut a 1″ strip of 9 of the sheets.. I then stuck them down to the left hand side of the page cutting them at approx 4.25″.. If I attempt this again I’d use my trimmer to cut them all before sticking them down to make it easier and give a neater finish!
I could see that I was going to run off the page and have an uneven amount of paper or that I would have to leave a gap so when I hit the middle of the page I started working from bottom to top and then overlapped a couple of strips.. it worked really well and the smaller strip gives a bit of texture to the page.
The individual alphabet stamps from Letters For You worked out to be the perfect size to stamp the word SNAPCHAT across the page but I had a small gap to fill which I chose to do with the ! from the same stamp set. I stamped in Rich Razzleberry as its one of the feature colours in this paper pack and to tie it all in and make the photos pop I also used the Rich Razzleberry card stock to back each of the 3 photos.
The page flags on the right had side are made from the off cuts of the 1″ strips and I used my paper snips to cut the flag shape! I chose my Basic Grey marker to write my journalling in as I felt black would be too heavy a colour and would force your eye to the writing.
I love how this turned out and took my inspiration from Dearly Dee on YouTube, if you would like to see my process video for this layout then you can do so over on my YouTube channel HERE!
