As soon as I opened this bright and cheerful kit, from Lottie Loves Paper, I fell in love with the puffy stickers from Thickers and knew that if I didn’t use them right away that I would end up hoarding them forever so its a good job that I had the perfect project in mind.
The photo in this layout isn’t the best and half of my head is cut off but the occasion was to “wet the babies head” of my bestie and we had a really great giggle that night, we’ve been through so much together these past few years that it was so good to get together and blow off some steam.
I wanted the journalling to be on the page with the pretty paper rather than the page with the photo but didn’t want it to stand out too much, when I filmed the layout I left it as you can see in the pictures above but I knew that it was missing something, I was totally unhappy with the journalling and the white flag with the “Details” on it didn’t stand out enough for me. So I grabbed my journalling pen and my typewriter and changed it up a bit.
I typed my journalling onto the back of one of the inserts that came in one of the packs of stickers and then cut it into strips and glued it over the original journalling, I then outlined everything with my journalling pen to make a distinct edge and give it a little pop from the page and of course I added some liquid pearl accents in place of some enamel dots.
I am so much happier with the end result and already looking for my next project to use this kit on 🙂
