Yes I know I only just posted a set up video of my Christmas planner and it wasn’t in an UglyDori but as I am on the design team for Queen Mable and Doris (Etsy store here, use Michelle10 for 10% off) I really wanted to use the inserts that Carol and Susie sent me as my most recent DT package, they sent me an A6 size and the only planner I had was my duck egg with rainbow stitching. Of course Christmas planners have to be red or gold… right?
Maybe not! I wanted a very untraditional (whats that, me doing my own thing and not following the norm? too right!) and colourful planner so that is exactly what I have.
The lovely Geraldine made me the rainbow shaker dash and I had the colourful bow from a previous order from her, I picked up the pom pom keyring from Homebargains for 99p and as soon as I saw it knew it would look fantastic, you really can pick up lots of bits for your planners if you think outside the box, this keyring was in the travel section!
The inserts strike a nice balance between to do lists and then all the nice things about xmas like the food and parties. I have 4 booklets in mine and they cover a variety of topics from a day a page for a December daily/memory keeping to gifts brought and received.
As I said in my original xmas video: I prefer a Christmas planner that I can add and remove things, I like to have sections for each of us for wish lists and gifts brought and I find a lot of the pages in Christmas planners I just won’t use, which is the case with these inserts. There are a few pages that I won’t use but I can easily cover the headings with some festive wash and repurpose to a list page of some sort… you know I love a list!
I still think that I’ll use my original planner as my main log but have this to carry around with me when xmas shopping, I can’t wait to fill it full of cheer.
