My most favourite way to put together a project life spread is by using my own scrapbook paper and grab out some coordinating embellishments, sometimes when I’m trying to use cards I feel a bit stuck creatively so this helps to get me out of my creative funk.
I always start by placing my pictures and cutting the 12×12″ paper to fit the empty spaces.
For the pictures that fill a pocket I like to journal on little labels and add embellishments to draw your eye to the photo.
When my children come home with certificates at school I like to get them in the week they correspond too, a good way to do that is by taking a picture and printing it in a much smaller size and then documenting what the certificate/achievement was for. I added a doodle border to break up the blank page.
I had a sticker sheet from Shimelle that I hadn’t used that contained some large stickers that would have been too big to use on any of the photos but they are the perfect size to embellish the 3×4″ cards.
I don’t really have a set theme for my title cards but I do tend to try and put them on the top left of each page. These alphas were from a discount shop and the stick on them is not the best, I had to use additional adhesive on them.
Stamping on photos is a fantastic way to enhance them, I use Stayzon black ink, it can be a bit grabby to the stamps so you do have to be careful when you peel it off. I’ve heard good things about the white versa mark ink that is on my wish list to try.
I brought it all together by using the red clear washi to add accents throughout the page that tie in the certificate on the bottom on the right.
