I’ve been waiting to use this kit since I purchased it a few weeks ago, I knew that I wanted to use it to document a journey seeing as the cards are focused on travel and our recent trip to the south of the UK seemed a perfect opportunity.
The cards are more masculine than I’m used to but I quite liked that! We had a lot going on on this trip, my gearbox blew up on the motorway and myself and the kids were stranded next to a busy motorway on one of the hottest days we’ve ever seen in the UK.
So the front page of this week was mainly dedicated to the actual journey down with the reverse side documenting our day at Lego Land which was amazing. Becuase this layout ended up really photo heavy I cut down a page protector and made myself a little insert to go behind the weekly layout.
I found it a bit of a struggle to fit the cards with words on into the layout due to the size of the photo’s I’d printed but they were really apt and I wanted to include them. I ended up chopping a lot of the cards up to make embellishments and I love how it turned out, it saved me digging into my stash.
I’m really pleased to be working on current layouts. It’s a lot easier to document memories when they are fresh and I find I remember the details of the photos clearer and the layout flows.
You can still order your Stampin’ Up! products through myself, you simply add your products to your cart and then select me as your Demonstrator. I’ve decided to remain a Demonstrator but more as a Hobby than a business, but your custom is very much appreciated.
You can find all the products that I have used today on the Memories and More pages of the SU website – https://www2.stampinup.com/ecweb/products/52200/memories-and-more
