Our local community centre runs an over 50s and over 60s club on a Thursday and Friday and I’m lucky enough to work with them a few times a year. This week we are making Christmas banners and I used the products from this months UglyBug Crafty Club.
Although it’s not a tutorial I wanted to share it with you so that you guys can see that there is so much more that you can do with your kits than just sticking to the tutorials I create for the crafty club.
- Whisper White csrdstock to 4″ x 2″
- Red/Green cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 1 3/4″
- Santa’s Workshop DSP to 3 1/4″ x 1.5″
Then I used the triple banner punch to create the triangles at the bottom of each piece. Used my sponge and Real Red ink to go round the edge of the whisper white creating a textured look. I then adhered all the layers together with tear and tape. I die cut my words from our silve foil sheets and used mini dimentionals to stick them on.
Fussy cutting some of the images from the DSP gave me the little characters and the top boarder which finished them off nicely. All that was left for me to do then was to punch the holes and thread the ribbon.
Stunning decor for not alot of time or money, you could even create some to sell at craft fairs.
