Something new…ish!

This is an announcement type post which there will be a few of in the next few days as I have lots of exciting things coming up. I had a little live chat in my Facebook group yesterday and gave a brief outline of what’s coming up.. if you want to watch that video you can join the group and view it HERE!

I’ll number them off so that I remember everything:

  1. You may have noticed from the changes on my blog that I have re-joined Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator. This is mainly for my own benefit of the discount of products, I have always found that the quality of their products and the versatility is something I struggle to find in the UK, being a demonstrator means that I can order and distribute the products. Aside from you guys being able to order from my online store and join my team, if you wish.. there wont be that much change to my blog in general surrounding this. You have already seen me use their products many times and apart from leaving the links to the products in my posts everything else will remain the same.
  2. For all my scrapbooking ladies, there is an exciting new product coming very soon, a group of us have been brought together to create a hub of information for you guys.. we will be on Instagram, YouTube, Blog and Facebook.. there will be more information on this is the next few days.
  3. As well as Pamper & Plan and the ScotCon events that I am attending this year, we have just arranged to attend “Crafting Under Canvas” in June this year. It is a weekend event and the whole family will be catered for. We will be holding workshops for both papercrafts and Leather work which can be pre-booked.. If you’d like more information please see the Facebook page HERE!
  4. From next month I will be setting up a new monthly workshop, you will be able to pre-order “kits” that will be sent out in advance of the workshop and will be added to a secret group. The challenges will be fully adaptable to whatever paper craft you wish to use them for and there will be prizes at the end. As a trial run the numbers will be limited so I will start taking pre-bookings for this shortly. The price of the kits is likely to be £15 plus shipping but the RRP will be well over this amount. Due to this my planner kits HERE will still be available but there will no longer be the art/creative journaling add on.. this will replace that kit as I’d love to get more involved with you guys when you are using it.

…and that’s a wrap haha, I told you in December that this was going to be a busy year for us.. and that’s not even all yet.. next step WORLD DOMINATION!!

Planner stickers, Washi and Ephemera unboxing/haul : Little Rainbow Moon on Etsy

At the beginning of January I placed an order, via Etsy, from Jo at Little Rainbow Moon, she had a code running and I’d been wanting some of her ephemera and stickers for a while.

Her shipping time was 2 weeks as she has children and they were off school for the holidays, we all know how chaotic that is right?

So last week the postie handed me my envelope of delicious happiness, I didn’t realise what it was at the time so tore it open only to find that it was my order. The kids were screaming around me and I was one Muuuummmmmm away from eating my feelings in chocolate cereal! But that’s the perfect time to record an unboxing right?? Perfect timing indeed!

First out the bag was the super stunning feather washi, although the word feather seemed to evade me. To match the washi I ordered the sticker kit, in personal planner size, to fit my a6 UglyDori and the matching ephemera pack.

I also ordered another sticker kit along with a sheet of feather stickers on transparent sticker paper and a galaxy ephemera pack… for no other reason than they are so stinking cute!!

If you are into art journalling then you really have to check out Jo’s shop, the stickers and ephemera are her own stunning art work.

My Crafty Week : Happy Mail : Art Journalling

Last year I used to send lots of “happy mail” to various pen pals and one off swaps, I even had a Facebook group dedicated to swapping pocket letters and other forms of snail mail.

Unfortunately it kind of fissled out and I hadn’t sent any for a long time!

When Octobers Studio Calico Kits hit my doormat I really wanted to create something with it. It was so lovely.

At the same time I was having some problems with some equipment and another Etsy seller helped me out so I wanted to send her a small thank you, a TN book mark.

I had no idea how it would turn out, there are a few things I would do differently next time but overall I love how this turned out and was really pleased with it. The little envelope in the middle contains the gift and the flap at the side lifts up to reveal a note.

At the time I made this I said I’d love to send more, alas I’ve not gotten round to it… maybe once the house is sorted this weekend I’ll have another go!

To view the Set up video of the above happy mail click HERE!!

Recently I took the kids pumpkin picking (you can tell how long it’s been since my last catch up!) I wanted to create a page in my art journal as well as a Project Life page. I’d seen some amazingly creative pages on YouTube and decided to have a go at drawing something myself.

I’m no artist but I do love to try and I am super happy with how this page turned out!!! Again it is something I am desperate to try again, I need to set aside some crafty time!!

Confessions Of An Ugly Bug : Autumn Bucket List

If you have seen our “Confessions Of” blog series before then you may notice a slight change to the title.. Emma and I thought it would be a good idea to combine the Confessions Of A Plannerholic and the Brutally Honest Confessions series. We will now be posting ever monday with varying topics. Planners and planner confessions will still play a big part in these posts, we’ll just be adding other topics too.

So the first post in this super exciting “Blog Carnival” is Autumn Bucket Lists. I really wanted to have a bucket list in my Travellers Notebook, that I could tick off as I complete each thing (any excuse to head to starbucks), and I really wanted to try art journalling. So today I decided I’d take a few hours out and have a bit of a play. I do love the way it turned out and I am a little bit impressed with myself. I know it is far from the best out there but for a first, and last minute, attempt I’m pleased.

I started out in a brand new TN insert, the one that actually came with my Websters Pages Travellers Notebook. I had a tin of water colour paints and some aqua brushes which I, artistically, mulched about the page. There was no rhyme or reason to how I created the background, I’ve watched a couple of youtube videos so obviously I am now a pro ha.

Next I found a fall printable on google and transferred it to a cut file for my silhouette to make the stickers. I originally wanted to colour the images myself but time is not my friend at the minute so sticker are the next best thing.

The I added wrote in my bucket list items, I really wish I had neater handwriting and It is something that I am hoping to improve over the next few months, I’m hoping journalling helps to keep me focused on it.

So, on my bucket list I have:

  • Try a pumpkin spiced latte
  • Plant a fall garden
  • Drink hot chocolate with “the works”
  • Watch a firework display
  • Go running in the rain
  • Jump in a leaf pile
  • Carve a pumpkin
  • Toast marshmallows in the fire pit
  • Make soup from scratch
  • Bake autumn cookies
  • Go trick or treating or to a halloween party
  • Pumpkin picking
  • Make pinecone bird feeders
  • Set up a “Pinterest worthy” autumn planner

Please don’t forget to check out the other ladies in this series and if you would like to join in then get in contact. What’s on your autumn bucket list?
