Eastern Palace Suite : Monochromatic Cards

 One of the best thing about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is getting to see, order and play with the products before they are available to the general public.

Normally we have to wait to share these with you but this year the lovely people at SU HQ have decided you guys deserve an early treat too. So they have released the Eastern Palace Suite, from the new 2017-2018 catalogue, for us now and for you guys from the 1st May.. how amazing is that?!

For this weeks “teamie Tuesday” I set the challenge of “Monochromatic” as usually the team took this challenge and made it their own, my version came out like this;

Succulent Treats : Oh So Succulent gift/home decor

I will be the first one to tell you that I am not really a flower girl… I tent to, inadvertently, kill any bloom that comes into my grasp and even the hardiest plants tend to die around me. So when I first saw the Oh So Succulent kit in the catalogue I wasn’t blown away and flipped right past but there is a huge buzz about this set and after some mooching on Facebook and Pinterest I decided I needed to try it for myself… I am addicted 🙂 they are so fun and quick to make and there are a thousand things they can be used for, I made today’s project as part of our Teamie Tuesday Challenge who’s theme this week was Spring!

To make you will need;

I also used artificial moss which you can purchase on Amazon and EBay. Don’t forget that if you place an order online and use the code to the right of this post you will receive a free gift, in the post at the end of the month, from me 🙂

To find out how to make them view the video Here!

Easter Basket – Festive Birthday

Phew… these past few weeks have been manic! Monday is usually the day that I complete the majority of my work, I normally schedule my blogs and videos and get the majority of my housework finished.

Today however everything went to pot as the builder turned up unexpectedly and my day has gone to pot.. hence the 9pm blog and video haha.

So today’s make are these Easter baskets.. they are so easy to do and literally have a tonne of uses, tomorrow I will be uploading a special project, part of teamie Tuesday, so i needed this part up today as we will be using the basket tomorrow… if that hasn’t confused you then nothing will!

To view the process video click HERE!

To complete this project you will need;

Emerald Envy cardstock;

  • 1 a4 sheet
  • 1 strip 11.75″ x 1″

Festive Birthday DSP;

  • 2x 7.5″ x 1.75″

Score your largest sheet at 2″ on all 4 sides, cut up to the score line on the longest sides, then cut diagonally and you should cut off a triangle.

Fold all sides up and adhere the corners (I like the triangles on the outside as it makes it look like a real basket).

Tape the long strip and adhere to the inside of the basket to create a handle. Finally adhere the DSP to the long sides of the basket… embellish as you wish!! That’s it, so simple!!

Any purchases over £25 in April, using the code below, will receive a free gift from myself.

Quick cards – from a non card maker!!

Although I’m a paper crafter I’ve never really got into card making but it’s so hard to stay away from when the catalogue is packed with lots of amazing inspiration.

I had 20 minutes to spare and a few bits of offcuts from a recent project so I decided to make some super quick and colourful cards to have on hand as I have some birthdays coming up.

This was the result, I made a few rookie errors and I really need to get the hang of adding the ink to the stamp and not pressing the stamp in the ink… to watch the quick process video click HERE!

For these cards I used the Birthday Fiesta range which you can find HERE! Don’t forget to use this months (Marc 2017) Hostess code 7TY39NVG and any order over £20 will receive a free gift from me!
